For those of us with an inquiring mind, “dogging” is something we may have never heard of. The UK seems to be the birth place of the name of this spreading fetish and has it's roots in voyeurism and exhibitionism. Dogging is basically when people meet up for sex in a secluded semi-public place for sex, or to watch others engaged in the act.
The term started out in the seventies to describe people who would go to isolated areas to sneak up on couples getting it on but has since changed. Interestingly author Jane White states: “the term originates from the practice of men using imaginary dogs as an excuse for hanging out around the bushes.” It can probably be more accurately described now as public swinging, or outdoor swinging.
I wanted to do some research on the subject and went straight for the visual stuff and found myself on youtube.com. I found one video where some younger boys were laughing their asses off in a car in a car while driving because they had just left the scene of some hot and heavy action. It seems the old definition remains true to some extent.
Next I checked out some bulletin boards and found at least a few results for people posting ads for meeting places. One was a park and another was for a beach location. Of course every kind of crazy request was there including an add for getting a group of guys together to be outside in their underwear together, and a stated no sex policy. One of the funniest things I ran across was the term “poodling” which means having sex in a posh car, dogging style!
Another site told me that dogging is taking place in loads of places in the UK. Normally in picnic areas, multi-story car parks, supermarket car parks and many other outdoor locations. This is where we are getting to the outdoor swinging bit. What kind of people go dogging? Just like swinging, anybody from any walk of life can show up and this isn't in a swingers club. You have to admit, feeling that fresh air on your body can make sex really amazing. How much more so knowing that you can at one moment be getting a tug job from a sexy blond and the next minute be in the doggy position with the friend that she brought with her.
In the end finding a dogging site for the night is probably going to break down to being tied to a swinger community. After all, places that are advertise publicly are more than likely going to get over run with prostitutes, thieves, or even police! Besides which fact it's probably a much better idea to at least know what kind of people are going to show up. This is a cultural movement and a swinger can be a dogger, as a dogger can be a swinger, that is unless you are just there for a peak! |
